Die Cutting the covers

In order to make the painting flush with the rest of the book cover, a 7” x 9” hole needed to be extracted from about 1/2 the thickness of the front board. In order to achieve this, a 7” x 9” hole was die cut out of a .06 millboard. In 2017, for "Terra Magna, JC Roy’s Labrador" this board was replaced by a thicker .08 millboard. This piece was then glued to a .04 board making up the front board.
